Think First
When you watch TV or read the newspaper about different issues in the world, do you ever think, “Something must be done about this!” There are many issues that concern people on a global scale such as poverty, AIDS, war, natural disasters, environmental destruction, and racism to name a few. The world is interdependent and what happens on one side of the world will in some way affect the people on the other side of the world.
Then Write
Imagine that there is a World Government Body (WGB). Write a letter to the WGB. State what you think is the greatest problem facing the world today. Explain why. In your letter also try to offer a possible solution to help with this issue.
